Happy October!

My favourite month of the year has finally come! And it's field with studio, lectures and assignments (insert fireworks here). Remember that post about me being awkward and shy? Scrap that. I'm doing pretty damn well for myself, and am happy about it. :)

So whart's been happening lately? Been able to explore Glasgow even more, which is always great. And I've been doing that with mah flatmates and classmates. Fair warning, photos uploaded are usually on a GOOD day, when there's no rain or wind; which is like mega rare and I've come to terms with it so please do not comment on how cold it will be because I know.

These are 3/4 of my flatmates; Annie, Rish and Jackie!

3/4 of flatmates again, this time with Areej, Rish and Jackie.

They're pretty much the friendliest bunch ever. They make it easy to live in this flat. Trynna make it a point to spend time with them every weekend and so far, it's been successful. Cheers to spending the rest of the year with you freaks! :)

These are 4/19 of my classmates. A colourful bunch eyh; Hee Eun, Misha, Kirsty and Shweta! I'm particularly good friends with mah unni. Haha! Again, these people (and others) just make it easier to be in class. I'm happy to have them as my new friends.

I've really been enjoying myself here. I mean, to be fair, it's only been like over a month since I've been away from KL, but I'm surviving and I'm proud of it. I don't feel as uncomfortable as I use to, which is great! Many don't understand the struggles I go through, putting so much effort into creating friendships (okay I sound dumb but it's true). I'm not antisocial or anything, but I never use to be forced into such a situation so there was just no point.

Generally, people don't approach me ... 'cause ... God knows why. I think my face is like too damn bitchy ... or I exude some sort of weird angry aura that won't allow people to naturally talk to me. I always have to be the one breaking the ice; not that it's a bad thing but ... it's tiring ... ಠ_ಠ And I'm not use to it ...

But I AM NAO. And I'm doing DAMN WELL AT IT. It's just my fate larh. This is the way the universe toys with my feelings. Sigh. Unni doesn't agree with me though. She thinks I spread rays of sunshine, fart rainbows and sprinkle unicorn fairy dust everywhere I go (I'm obviously exaggerating but you get the idea).

Okay enough of that bullshit rant haha.

Been able to explore Glasgow for a bit. We've been lucky enough to get some sun every weekend! You can really learn to appreciate actual sunlight when you live here. It's like so freakin' rare to see the sun. Apparently during winter, the sun will not exist ... not looking forward to it. But anyway, here's some canggih looking places.

City Chambers beside George Square is like mega awesome okay. We've got some Harry Potter shit going on over here! Would you just look at the details of EVERYTHING. I don't even know where to start. I just loved the place so much!

This is Necropolis; at the east side of the city. Went there with unni to soak up some sun. GORGEOUS RIGHT? Whart kind of cemetery is this?! We can picnic here for goodness sake.

This was just like a small part of the actual area. Everything looks so historic ... I LOVE IT. щ(ºДºщ)

This was taken when Misha, Tim and I were filming for our first assignment. Doesn't Glasgow look pretty? Despite the horrendous rain clouds creepin' in from the right side.

This was our presentation party at the State Bar. We had to present our postcards here! Long story short, our assignment was about pub hopping, meeting locals and making postcards out of the experience/proverbs that were collected.

Here's an example of the postcards that were displayed that night. On the left, a lovely portrait of myself. Yes, that's me ... with a hairy chest ... ಠ_ಠ Lemme explain, my classmates were trying to explain the proverb "That whiskey will put hair on your chest", and so, I became the victim/inspiration for this masterpiece. They drew me drinking whiskey and growing hair on my chest. Lovely indeed.

On the right is suppose to be unni as the man in The Scream, because she has problems understanding Scottish accents/dialects since she's still learning how to speak proper English. She usually just nods and smiles if she doesn't understand whart's going on LOL. So cute.

Here's unni and I at the Botanic Gardens; again soaking up some sun! I cannot stress enough how rare it is to get some sun here. We can never miss the chance to chase the sun!

We've recently started on our studio assignment and ... it's quite a pickle. I'm totally out of my element here but I guess I can take it as a challenge. My lecturer, Elio, says that designers should be the Jack of all trades ... and I agree, since architects are suppose to be like that too ... I guess ... but just need to get the hang of it ... ? I was in a pond and nao I'm in an ocean! ヽ(゚Д゚)ノ

My new assignment involves going to a prison and conversing with a few inmates. Exciting ... no? Haha. We're collaborating with Fujitsu so I assume we'd need to design something along the lines of products for communication ... but I'm not sure yet. I need to do a site study on that and I can't wait to staaaaart! Tomorrow is a new day and the start of a new week. Can't wait to get this ball rollin'!

Anyway, time for dinner! (◕‿◕✿)

Fare thee well mortals!
