I can confidently say that my trip to Singapore was way passed the borderline of awesome, hands down. Why? Cannot be explained. Haha! Had so much fun with Jojo and Dex, exploring whatever Singapore had to offer, joke about everything, shopping, do stupid things and share stories. The best part is having 2 muscular bodyguards with me for the whole trip and having a place to stay that was literally 5 minutes walk from the MRT, and for free (thanks to Jojo, his parents and his parents hospitable friends)! Such a great way of kick starting my holidays. :3
Day 1
A 6 hour bus-ride and finally, we arrived at the Singapore Bus Terminal. The 3 of us couldn't contain our excitement at this point, though we arrived at like 9pm in at night and took quite some time to reach Uncle Hoong's place. Once we did, we did, we were greeted by the friendly couple that welcomed us with open arms! So friendly. They provided us with so many things! Towels, shampoo, prepared bottles of water in our rooms and offered food from their fridge, as though the shelter over our heads wasn't enough. So grateful, truly. :D
Day 2
After some shut eye, we woke up early in the morning to go have breakfast with Uncle Hoong, his wife and his Malaysian friend (who was a very adorable auntie, like seriously). We then headed off to the Art and Science Museum to fulfill Dexter's Harry Potter fandom fantasies. Notbad.jpeg yo. Haha! Cause we didn't only see the exhibition, we even saw sketches by the architect of the weird lotus museum and some random Andy Warhol stuff.
Obligatory photo of the ticket.
Before we entered the exhibition, we were welcomed with this sign on the floor ~
Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to photograph stuff in the exhibition so all I have is a photo of the Weasley's flying car.
Some Andy Warhol stuff.
The Mickey Mouse is so cute! Thai version haha.
I'm too lazy to go into detail but we kinda had like a chillaxing good time during the day, after walking around like damn a lot haha. In the evening, we went to the Supertree Groves to see whart all the fuss is about. The whole time, the 3 of us couldn't stop naming the different types of connections and we mainly tried to figure out how the ugly trees stood up and stuff. Haha! More fun than actually looking at it.
It's actually quite beautiful at night, Marina Bay Sands + the weird Supertrees but the light symphony was kind of lacking that special umph. You know whart I mean (of course you don't)? After that, we headed to Clarke Quay to just chill on the bridge with our drinks, watching drunk people be drunk people. I think we stayed up til about 2am? Just talking and telling each other stories. Haha. Really relaxing.
A failed attempt at camwhoring with the trees. FAIL WHALE. Oh well.
According to whart we've learnt during Semester 5, the trees have a pre-cast concrete core and possibly a steel frame on the outside. Connections; welding, pin, moment. LOL! Okay enough.
Silhouettes ~

Here's a really flattering photo of the Jack Daniel's cocktail in a very sexy bottle + bokeh ~
And here's a photo of whart seems to be a penis shaped air duct? I dunno.
Day 3
We headed to NUS to check out Nikki's exhibition (NUS + UM collaboration). Kinda got lost in the campus itself (LOL). And had fun laughing to ourselves getting lost, gawd. By the time we reached the Architecture Faculty, we were like walking around in circles, sweating. Then we decided to sit at McDs and think of our next step. HAHA! Where was the exhibition?! I then found out that it was at the NUS Museum after contacting Nikki. Facepalm.com much? So after rejuvenating, we walked over to the museum. I forgot to mention, NUS is really pretty man! I love love love that there are trees EVERY WHERE. It made it so comfortable for us to walk around. Sungguh bess.
Anyway, when we reached the museum, we didn't only check out the archi exhibition, we also got to see dead, preserved animals being exhibited. Totally random but, whatever. LOL. Educational yo! Haha. Nikki's exhibition was great! I loved the sketches they displayed and the lazer cut models. We 3 jakuned about the lazer cut perspek humans and trees. So cantek! Hahaha. Good job to Nikki and team! :)
This is me giving an indirect thumbs up to Nikki for doing an excellent job with the model.
And this is Nikki's sketch of the bar that she was studying. :D
After some fun there, we headed to Bugis Street then Orchard Rd. You can imagine for whart larh right? Haha. Shopping, awh yeahhhhhhhhh!
Day 4
On our last day, we headed to Vivo City. Jojo had raved on about how awesome the mall is and I was wondering like, whyyy? Haha. Isn't it just another mall? NOH. It's not! I forgot to mention, Food Republic in Singapore has like different interior design at different outlets, and the one in Vivo City was like an old fashion China street. SO NAICE. Doors, EVERYWHERE. Hahaha! It was so playful! I wish Food Republic in Malaysia were as interesting. Cis!
This is the Food Republic in one of the underground tunnel mall thinggies. The theme was like Sherlock Holme's library. LOL! For real!
This is the one at Vivo City. It was like a Chinese night market. It had antique doors as partitions and deco, and vintage lighting and bicycles hanging everywhere. Friggin' wicked man!
We checked out the roof garden for a bit and took some hilarious jump shots (as always). Then walked over to Sentosa, just for fun. In the midst of our random walk, we bumped into ... guess who ... GUESS WHO! SEKSANNNNNNNNNN AHHH! The universe was being so kind to us! Our timing was so perfect, omg! I was so happy I recognized him or else we wouldn't have followed him and wouldn't have asked him for a photograph. :'D He spoke to me and shook my hand. :'DDD He's so friendly, omg, can dai. I am so blessed, seriously.
Seriously, we were the most excited little kids ever! We knew that Seksan was in Singapore but we didn't think that we could actually meet him. *Fangirling* The whole time, Dex and I were like "Maybe we'll bump into Xiaxue or Michelle Phan! So coohl hahahaha" even though we knew our chances were super slim. Then suddenly, as we were mindlessly walking around Sentosa, who do we see? Seksan with his luscious hair! Wah wah wah! I'm still so happy. First a photo with Kevin Mark Low, now with Seksan. :'D
Here is a photo of Jojo and I, unleashing the contemporary dancers within the very depths of our souls. *melodrama* We're so much better than the losers in Step Up Revolution. Pfft. Faster call Wynwood!
Here's our army/Street Fighter/dunno whart photos. Hahaha! I love them so much. So hilarious man.
And here is one that Dexter edited. Sangat cantek! My pants look neon! Hahaha.
After that moment of absolute glee, Jojo saw a poster about a Maritime exhibition typhoon theatre thinggy? I oso dunno. Hahaha. I didn't know whart it was but he got so excited so we decided to go. SO FUN. Seriously, Singapore, you are amazing at capitalism. So many things to see and experience. Felt like we were 12 year olds going on a school trip. HAHA. The typhoon theatre was like (Y)(Y)(Y). Gila awesome larh ok.
Before going back to Vivo City, I got myself some candy from the Hershey's shop (felt like I was 10 again) and then we headed back to the mall for dinner. Tapao-ed Burger King and went up to the roof garden to soak our feet in the water. It's fun because you get to relax there and picnic, while watching families and teenagers have fun with the water and chill on the grass. It's an interesting experience larh, especially being archi students. We kind of get to learn from whart we observe. It's so coohl how inviting the roof garden is.
Picnic on the roof garden! :)
I was stalking the girls who were sitting next to us. LOL! Only for the video I was recording!
We went back home to pack and all after that. Then left for KL. ): I felt pretty sad that we had to leave Singapore. I had fun with the boys. I guess sometimes it's not about the place that you go to, it's about the company. :) Won't be seeing Jojo and Dex til the end of the month so I hope you boys have a good rest back in your home town! Hehe. Love you guys foreverrr!
Here's a video I made of our Singapore trip!
OKAY ENOUGH CHEESINESS. I'mma listen to HEYYYYY SEXY LADYYYY OP OP OP OP OPPA GANGNAM STYLE ~
Some photos in the post were taken by the E-Shern whilst the rest by yours truly.
