Of course, I didn't ONLY shop. Haha. The first time I went to Bangkok was with my siblings and mom. It's a whole different experience when you go overseas with family compared to with friends - what I mean is, with family, everything is too organized and restricted (especially if you travel with my mom) but with friends, it's mostly free and easy and you get to try new things! I prefer travelling with friends cause it's less stressful. With my mom, on the other hand, every hair on my body could drop off; seriously. LOL!
So anyway, the sole purpose of the trip is to record the cultures of a particular street. We got the commercial street but due to riots, we had to change to a street nearer to our hotel which was like wtf so boring. But whatever we recorded will be put into our video; we won't let such good material go to waste! :D Hahaha.
I'm having problems coming up with a theme for our documentary. I have a rough idea of whart should be inside the vid - focus more on the culture and the standard of living in Bangkok and that particular street we had to analyze but whart should be the main theme? Survival? Modernization of the Thai Culture? Adaptation to the Increasingly Expensive Life of this Generation? The only thing I can think about is relating the survival to their culture. Like how, no matter how poor they are, they find a way to work hard and earn money but at the same time, stay true to their country, religion and culture. It's actually very inspiring. I have a recording of the train station anthem. It's really awesome >:D
Hahaha. Regardless, I will do my best for the group and contribute as much for the documentary. (:
Here are some of my favourite photos from the trip! xD

The first thing we tried when we arrive in Bangkok! Some sort of crepe thinggy. DELICIOUS and only RM2.50 for a whole box of it!

This isn't a good picture but the content of the picture is beyond orgasmic <3

Here, we see an AMAZING giant Garfield cat with THUMBS! Very obvious THUMBS!

A beautiful shot of a temple in Bangkok (I don't remember the name because it was difficult pronounce)! Everything on the walls and the ceilings were hand-crafted and hand-drawn! Really astounding.

Got a foot massage for RM15 for a full hour! Totally worth the money man. I also tried out the Thai massage (which was RM20) for the first time. Holy shitz whart an experience! The therapist used every limb on her body to relief my body of tension. Freakin' coohl but weird at the same time. The best part was when she cracked my back. HODAMN THE RELIEF! <3

This was the 3rd time I saw men playing chess or checkers or whatever by the side of the road. It's so normal for them but so interesting to us! Hahaha.

TUK TUK! Scary way of getting around the city because some of the drivers are goddamn assholes when driving! LOL! Kiwi and all got into a tuk tuk that was driven by a guy who looked so gangster and drove like one! Cut 5 lanes on the highway and went against traffic wtf!
Anyway, lets talk about SHOPPINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! Oh my God to be a person who isn't brand conscious and succumbs to impulse buy, BANGKOK SHOPPING IS HEAVENLY! Platinum Mall has like thousands of boutiques with tons of clothes and sales! Most have clothes selling at like RM10-RM15 each! And if you look hard enough, you can get the most gorgeous things. Even when they're not on sale, the wholesale prices are at least RM25 and so it's a good buy nonetheless! You just have to buy the clothes in bulks - with friends. Hehehe! :D
Platinum is great for clothes and accessories, but whart about bags and shoes? MBK! I didn't manage to get any shoes (sad face emoticon booooooo) but I did buy a few bags and at a VERY CHEAP PRICE OMG. We were at MBK for like 2 hours so the time limited our shopping; that may have been a good thing because if we stayed any longer, we would've bought hundreds of shops in the mall itself! ARGH! So many bags I could cry. xD And there were so many at RM20, unbelievable.
Other than that, aiyaaaaa tepi jalan also can buy! Hahaha. I bought like so many tops and accessories! Some of the road vendors sell items for even less than from the malls! A woman sold rings for RM2 EACH. In Malaysia, those cheap rings could go up to RM12 (which to me is now a total cheat cause they can break off easily and you lose so much $$!) and then another guy was selling checkered shirts for RM16 which Melgan practically sapu off the rack (I regret not buying! THE SHIRTS WERE SO NICE T.T).
A-MAH-ZING. I feel as though blogshops in Malaysia are no longer worth my time. Maybe bazaars are still okay but I don't think I'll ever buy from online blogshops again. I feel so cheated! Hahaha! Damn, now I'm like Qiu Qiu! Budget shopping forever! >:D
Here are the stuff I bought.

DRESSES! I actually bought 6 dresses but the tie dye maxi is in the laundry. :D You see the tutu dress on the left? I saw this in Pyramid for RM59 wtf. And in Platinum, I bought it for freakin' RM15. Luckily I didn't waste my money when I saw it in Pyramid! I would've been damn pissed LOL. The other dresses were about RM15 - RM18. All so sweet and pretty ahhhh! <3

The bags in the photo were RM20 each, the shirts are for other people because I ain't a tee shirt person TEEHEE and the accessories, can I say I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Look at the TWIGGY NECKLACE OMG. The shop I bought it from was like a jewelery chamber from heaven! <3 Tons of beautiful necklaces and rings! I was contemplating on whether to choose a pendant of Twiggy or a Pentax camera; I then remembered whart my mom said about shopping, "Always buy the first thing you see". LOL! And that is, Twiggy! :D

TANK TOPS! I told myself to get more tops from Bangkok but I didn't think I would get this many. Hahaha! I think the best buys are the three tops from the bottom right corner. JODE, Lizzy and Gaga. Hahaha! They were RM18 each though but seriously worth the buy! The shop it came from had TONS of tops like this with graphics of Madonna, The Beatles, Brad Pitt, Jimi Hendrix, Kid Rock, The Ramones and bla bla but I didn't wanna be a poser so I got the tops with the things that I genuinely LOVEEEEEEE. JOHNNY DEPP ON A TANK TOP? DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE. Waiting for Zac Efron to be worthy enough to be on a tank top. <3

Anyway enough of jakun-ing about my hauling of massive amounts of clothing and accessories. BYEH.
