I quote HSM by saying, "... the start of something new ..."

Hello hi welcome to my almost-abandoned blorg!

Okay please ignore the fact that I've neglected my blorg for weeks (for the first time ever). I'm back to updating it nao! And from the land of whisky, rain and thick-skinned Scots (and I mean that literally cause they friggin' wear shorts in 11degrees; IT DUN MAKE SENSEZ TAH MEH).

I've been in Scotland for 2 weeks nao and well, whart else can I say? It's cold man. Hahaha. But I'll get use to it. I'll just eat til I feel warm (my appetite has increased dramatically. In fact, I'm hungry as I type this). I'm happy to say that I'm safely in Glasgow, in my flat, in my comfy room with everything nicely unpacked and arrange at convenient areas. I just need a few storage spaces, maybe some stationery and files ,and a fucking dustbin because I've got plastic bags hanging everywhere man.

So anyway, the family and I (excluding the brother who never takes days off work; workaholic) traveled around Scotland for a bit. The last time we were here, we traveled around and about England and only stayed in Scotland for like 3 days or something. Obviously not enough time to bask in the awesomeness that is SCOTLA-RND.

We started from Aberdeen, went down to Dundee, Edinburgh and lastly Glasgow. Each place we've been to, we've explored inside and outside of the vicinity (because my mother kept insisting though sister, myself and possibly the father were lazy). Here are some photos to further narrate my trip.

Apartment in Aberdeen!

I don't remember where this was. One of the colleges I think.

Dad with his phone.

Aberdeen city/town/I dunno.

I like that unicorn.

This was taken during a very long walk towards dunno where from Newburg. Walked for over 2 hours! But it was super fun man! The old people were having a hard time though haha.

DA VIEW!

My dad with his cane/walking stick/knee-support-system.

WHY SKY WHY?!

A nice beach at Stonehaven.

A nice castle on a giant rock and sky porn duh.

It must be great to live beside a river and a beach. Seems so peaceful.

Seriously one of my favourite photos ever.

This too. JUST LOOK AT THE SKY! How? Why?! KENAPA?!

Gotta camho with dat sky bruh.

When in the UK, stuff yourself with fish and chips, and a nice big cup of parfait.

National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. I cannot begin to express my love for the museums here. They're free to enter and their exhibits are just amazing and fun.

I mean please look at the animal section. Seriously.

Proof that I was on Loch Ness.

The sky has been beautiful. I'm grateful.

I thought it was funny to look like the Michelin man.

Only part of the awesomeness from the highlands.

Our faces after seeing the mountains.

Coffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

This cafe is seriously beautiful. It's beside University of Edinburgh called the Brew Lab. You don't get shit like this in Malaysia.

Parents and I spent their last day in Glasgow at the Botanical garden. This green house is some place I would go to to be warm and do nothing.

Yellow leaves. SIGNS OF FALL!

Where we met a few fat squirrels.

In case you can't see, that sign says "Dye Plants".

Medicine faculty; University of Glasgow. Just look at how elegantly the double-glazed curved glass facade reflects the storm that's about to approach Glasgow ~ oh how poetic.

Hogwarts. Need I say more?

So my family has left Scotland and I'm officially on my own here in Glasgow. Starting my new life and hopefully will be able to survive. I haven't been able to meet many people yet, though I totally think my flatmates are coohl. But we haven't had the chance to sit down and talk properly yet. The time will come.

My classes begin next week and I'm excited for it. This whole week, I've just been trying to kill time. But at least I've been doing fun stuff like going to museums, shopping and exploring Glasgow. I think I'll go somewhere nice tomorrow too, just not sure where.

Although I'm excited for whart's ahead, I'm also feeling a little sad. It's a strange feeling really. I want to be alone, to discover myself; strengths and abilities, but I wish someone was here with me too. I'm not sure which one outweighs the other ... but yeah it's strange.

But pfft I'll get over it. I think it's just the culture shock of having to live on my own. It's only been a few days so it'll get better. Haha! Though I'm having a hard time adjusting to the weather! I can't seem to understand how to dress! Whart is the right way to dress here?! It's either I feel too cold or I get too hot/don't layer up enough or layer up too much. Whart is the formula to perfect dressing?! SOMEONE TELL ME!!!

Anyway, if anyone is wondering, I'm doing fine. Adjusting to the new environment and stepping out of my comfort zone. I worry that I might be more of an introvert here (lets hope not), but we'll have to see how it goes after my classes begin. I'll try my best! I need to because after all, I don't plan on going back to Malaysia any time soon. In fact, I thought of either working here or in the US in the near future! Fingers crossed.

Anyway, time for bed.

P.S. This is the view from my room (on a nice, sunny day). Not bad right?! K bai.
