I am a Spendthrift

Before I go on about being a spendthrift, let me just blorg about some happenings lately. So I've recently applied for 5 universities, 2 in London, 2 in Scotland and 1 in the Netherlands. I'm really hoping and praying that I get accepted to at least 1 university, but we'll just have to see how it goes. I hope I'm good enough, it's killing me just thinking about it ... but who knows whart lies ahead of me.

Other than that, I've been hanging out with my BSI machas a lot. I love them to death, fullstop.

Here's us at Tom, Dick and Harry's in TTDI on Labour's Day Eve. The usual story telling, politics as a strong topic of discussion (because we're adults and GE13 is this weekend) and talking about toothpaste. Miss you guys already (though I see you like all the taim gahd).

Mmm I haven't spent much time with my college mates in a very very long time. Since everyone is working or doing their own thing, we don't get to see each other as often as we use to. And by spend time, I mean, do shit like just play the whole day and randomly go to lame places and snap photos. We use to do that all the time when we were still in Taylor's! Seems like forever ago since we've played around like this. So sad. Feeling old at the moment. "Lets go to Perlis! Or a basement car park!".

So anyway, yesterday was Labour Day, so all them working people had time to rest and do nothing. But whart did we decide to do? Go cycling til our legs felt like jelly. Then shop, then eat like pigs. Yes. Like pigs.

We had to use mountain bikes. Damn heavy weyh! Tak larat! I have no strength to cycle myself and this behemoth of a bicycle uphill. But cycling downhill was a ball! (Y) By the way, can't get enough of Kiwi's expression. LOL.

Here's us at a Cactus Garden ... because ... well ... yeah.

Look at me. Why am I posing like a diva? And in front of a hill of cacti?
BECAUSE I CAN.

Group photos are better when taken using the front camera of my phone. This is fact.

Soon after, we went to Setia Alam for some lunch at TGI Fridays and shopping ~ The girls were on a hunt for graduation dresses (seeing as they only JUST realized graduation is like 2 weeks away). Yvonne was obviously gan cheong and was on panic mode. I deemed the shopping trip a semi-success, since not all of us have found everything we needed for our special day. But it's k. This Saturday ... to be continued ~

We went for dinner and desserts at Oasis afterwards.I brought them to a place called BadBoyCooks and of course, being the cheapskates that we are, the prices of the food made everyone excited to da max! Haha. The western food there IS really good though and extremely affordable so definitely I recommend EVERYONE to try it! :)

STOP AND STAREEE. No really ... just stop and stare at this ridiculous looking dessert. It's called the BadBoy Madness, consisting off chocolate ice cream, chocolate brownie, whipped cream, crushed nuts, bananas and a huge chocolate chip cookie. This is FOR REALZ good man. Damn nice but so sinful! I felt guilty after every spoonful of awesomeness, BUT WHATEVER.

This is Oasis! The restaurants are orientated towards a water body. Really relaxing and nice to just sit around and chill by the water. Looking forward to seeing more restaurants open up at this area!

All in all, it was a fun and tiring day. It's not often that we get to play so much like this. We're all adults nao, talking about work and politics all the time. But yesterday was a good chance to be little kids again! SUCCESS.

Okay I need to let out somewhere so I'm choosing my blorg. Haha. So for a long time nao, I've been cutting down on my shopping habits, and I can say that I was successful. Probably over 2 months of watching how I spend my money, saving up, eating at home, not buying things I don't need, and I was pretty pleased with myself ... WAS. Hahaha.

Thanks to the Goddamn Isetan Membership sale AND the Isetan vouchers my mom gave me, I'm pretty sure that when I was happily spending my vouchers on Japanese beauty products, I accidentally triggered something ... my inner shopaholic came crawling back out of me. SHIT.

Hahaha! But with the vouchers, I managed to buy a lot of pretty new things! And they were all on sale mind you (I spend a lot but I'm a bargain hunter so, the cheaper the better). Would you just look at all the pretty things I managed to get? The box on the bottom left had the Seche Base Coat, Seche Fast Dry Top Coat and a Purple Glittery ChinaGlaze nail polish ... and for how much? It was only RM30 FOR 3 OF THOSE HIGH END BRANDS. K this is serious, no joke. That is a major steal ok! How could I resist?!

Look at the ChinaGlaze colour! KIUT. Still have them on my nails right nao.

The other stuff are sale items too, but were like 10% or 20% off only. I would never spend my own money on eyeliner that costed RM55 but since I had vouchers, I could finally invest on a Dolly Wink product! Yay! Thanks mom for letting me have the vouchers, seriously, made me a happy lil' girl.

After releasing whart seemed to be a truckload full of suppressed obsessive emotions towards shopping, I finally caved in a bought some things with the money I had saved up doing freelance work (ARGH). I have succumb to your wants, you bratty inner shopaholic!

Look at these pretty rings I got from Diva! The Day of the Dead Skull ring was only RM13 and the smaller one was RM9. SUCH A STEAL RIGHT? I saw Lovisa selling the skull one for like RM50+ or something, wth please gurl, I ain't paying that much for a mass produced ring.

And just yesterday, I got myself another pair of brogues (sigh). They were half off, so I paid RM42 for them. CHEAP RIGHT? I'm a really good bargain hunter k. *self assurance*

And after that, I bought this S3 cover. Okay I have like a bazillion covers larh. I can't help it. LOOK AT THAT PUG. HOW ADORABLE IS IT? HOW CAN I NOT?

And then today, after meeting up with a few Taylor's people for some business, I just stopped by the bazaar at the Student Life Center and found this AMAZING DRESS ... for how much? RM10 jer.
MEGA STEAL RIGHT?

Back to being a spendthrift ... actually, come to think of it, I may have triggered my spendthrift habits when I was in Penang after stumbling upon that really awesome flea market. GAH whatever larh.

BECAUSE OF THESE DAMN GORGEOUS SHADES AND CAMERA! I've been on a hunt for more unique pieces of clothing or items to randomly display in my room. Ahhh man.

And I probably stirred something up within me after digging through my mother's old clothes and father's shoe closet and finding these treasures! LOOK AT THOSE PANTS AND SHOES! Gorgeous kan?! My parents were so hip. I'm blessed to be able to steal their belongings.

OKAY ENOUGH ABOUT SHOPPING. IT JUST MAKES ME WANT TO BUY MORE THINGS.

Did I mention that I've totally cleaned up my room? It's amazing how much I love living in here nao. It's not my dream room but it's much cleaner, neater and organized than last year. And ample amount of space man! Glad I could put my architecture knowledge to good use (sorta). My shoes are neatly arranged, my sunglasses are organized, I can see my own wardrobe (after transferring all of my mother's clothes to a different location) ... need I go on? I'm pretty proud of myself. Haha!

My mind feels less cluttered when I'm in my room nao, and I managed to make it brighter by removing everything that was covering my window. Thank goodness for that!

This is the little corner of my bedroom that I adore very much. I turn the lights on in the middle of the night before I sleep. Makes my room seem more dreamy.

And would you please look at how awesome my nail polish collection looks? I FEEL SAH HAPPY LOOKING AT IT. Haha. Organized by brand and colour. Argh! Proud.

Anyway ... who am I kidding. I'm a shopaholic. A spendthrift. I need to remember why it's important to not spend on things I don't need ... but sometimes I can't resist. It's one of those months that I feel like I can't resist anything pretty. Hahaha. BUT WHATEVER LARH. At least everything I buy is useful and I'm damn sure that I will make full use of it. LOL Okay ... I'll watch my spending nao ... not.
