Procrastination

Since my week began with a bang of a birthday celebration, I hadn't had the time (or bothered to make the time) to actually do work (because I figured since this is the only week of rest we will ever get until we end this semester, what the heck?! Lets dig my own grave!), so I've been having fun with friends and Pokey! :D

Photos this week were taken purely by my Canon IXUS 220HS. My dad borrowed my Nikon so I challenged myself with my digital camera. I think there are ways of capturing gorgeous photos with a small camera! As Kai from DigitalRev once said, "The equipment does not define the photographer" or somethin' cheesey liddat.

Monday night, I went to Jas's place for a belated birthday celebration. The woman couldn't make it to the fail surprise 2.0 a couple of days before, so I decided to invade her home. I was fed generously by wife and I'm very grateful for the truckloads of delicious food she forced down my throat! She also brought me to this charming place in which I shan't identify (to avoid hipsters from discovering it HAHAHA) in Giza. The place served the nyummiest green tea drinks and molten chocolate cake! Om nom nom.

This week, I went to Ikea 3 times. HAHA! I had to help Pokey get stuff for his home-improvement project. His room, in actual fact, looks a lot nicer and cozier, now that the fluorescent light isn't needed and also because of the brand new Ikea furniture he so happily chose and purchased. Haha. He made a working station for me so that I don't have to squeeze beside him the next time I attempt to work at his place. Yay! Sankyuuu.

I had a photography date with waifu in Putrajaya. We actually planned on shooting the sunset but the weather has been chaotic lately so, we decided to get Gong Cha and shoot anything we find pretty in Putrajaya instead. It was a rather lazy shoot because we are lazy people. Haha! But we managed to get some good shots.

This is one of the suspension bridges in Putrajaya. It's atually really beautiful at night, with the LED lights and Calatrava inspired wires. It's quite the contrary during the day, unfortunately.

I love this photo because it shows how well we bluetooth facial expressions to each other. Hahaha! We always have photos of us doing the same expression without us realizing it! Like MAGIC.

Yesterday morning, a bunch of us literally withstood pain to climb up Broga Hill to catch the sunrise. Yvonne Tan vomitted and Yuan Li stopped about 4 times to catch her breath and eat candy. Haha! But we managed to reach the top! Though I feel the consequences of not working out or maintaining my stamina, deep in my bum and thighs. Ohhh the pain! I feel sore everywhere. I didn't expect it to be difficult. I'm sure there are worse hills though but this one was really quite difficult to climb! It was steep and slippery. We were lucky that the weather was kind to us. It was cooling, dry and we could see all the stars before the sun rose! Yes, twas difficult to climb that hill, but it was worth it! I haven't done anything as adventurous in a while. And the view that when we reached the top was utterly BREATH-TAKING. Mega heavenly (literally), as though we were floating on clouds!

Oh the sunrise! <3 I think, for the passed 3 years, I've probably seen the sun rise not more than 10 times. Haha! Off the top of my head, during Redang when I woke up early to see the sun rise, TWO DAYS in a row; and the sunrise when I was driving to campus before our SABD Orientation last February. Sunrises are very special to me, since I rarely see it. HAHA! And this hike up Broga Hill has got to be one of the best experiences of my life.

Hiking up a hill with a bunch of crazy friends! Whart better way to spend our morning?

Photobucket
My most jiwang photo! Asked Melgan to help me take a photo of me as Karate Kid, with the most majestic scenery EVER. I'm so much coohler than Jaden Smith or Daniel Larusso! HAHAHA! Can't believe we were that high up! You can see how far the town is from this photo! Freakin' awesome.
