I've experienced my second all-nighter ever, EVER, in my life! Luckily for me, I didn't malfunction and crash during my presentation, though I felt like fainting while I was standing.
We worked so hard, stayed up late (practically saw the sun rise and from our studio, watched as students raced to find parking as early as 7am), did not sleep, did not shower, grew pimples, developed smells that we did not know existed (haha eee) but Alhamdulillah, the presentation went well and our model was rather eye-catching. :D Got a lotta good compliments and stuff.
Thank goodness for my group and our (in a way) good combinations of ideas. The concept that we developed grew stronger through the design process (of bullshitting haha), we cleverly addressed the clients needs, material wise; I KNOW WE WERE GOOD because we stressed on that a lot hahaha ... etc etc. :)
Experience = hellish
Outcome = Rather satisfying because we got pretty good critics. Praying that our grades won't flop.
THE GREAT REVEAL!

Okay. Something else I failed to jakun about on my blorg. A couple of weeks ago, I managed to get in contact with the people of KLCC (through my mother and her boss of course) and got my group and I an exclusive (haha whart) tour around KL Convention Centre, BEHIND THE SCENES! Amazing, AMAZING experience, getting to learn and observe things you never knew existed. It was beyond awesome also because it was friggin' KL Convention Centre and their services and systems are of the highest levels! Makes us realize how totally amazing humans can be (sometimes).
Here are some photos of the awesomeness that is KL Convention Centre and it's systems! xD

GENSET! SO FRIGGIN' HUGE! Imagine your car engine but blown up to like 10 times it's size!

This is a photo of one of the water tanks. Yes. Apparently the water supply for toilets and etc are stored in tanks which are in the WALLS of the building! WHART? Hahaha so awesome. This is an example of integrating systems with design.

How the water is being distributed! Everything so nicely labeled for you. :D

This is the central vacuum system. YEAH! KLCC has a massive vacuum in the middle of their building! HAHA. So coohl right? This means that they don't need to have those portable vacuum to clean. They just have to plug the tube thinggy into the vacuum valve and everything auto-starts. Haha!

This is the epic sprinkler system (or part of it). Look at the proportion of the pipes in comparison to Simba!

And THIS, is one of the biggest AHUs in the building! SO BESAR! Air-conditioning is IMPORTANT in KLCC.
Okay enough talking about my assignments! I jakun more about this than Raya. How sad. Anyway, this weekend will be hectic. Every night, I'll be having some dinner plans with many different people, I have presentations to finish and also a date to fit into the schedule. Haha! Hectic to da max. But loving the stress. HAHAHA! Whart am I? Masochistic? Maybe.
Btw, I did not expect this for Sem 4. I was totally glum after getting my Sem 3 results until I'm pretty sure, every ounce of enthusiasm that I had last semester was just flushed out. At the beginning of the semester, I felt lazy and unmotivated. I mean, last sem, I worked so hard. I did a very detailed model and presentation board, I did manual drawings but it was not good enough, obviously. So I lost all hope this sem and wonder why I would bother putting in effort if my efforts aren't even being acknowledged.
But because of this hellish experience that in a way, I loved so much, I'm up for the challenge. I'm up for the stress and for the (almost) sleepless nights (no more all-nighters full stop). I'm up for CRUNCH TIME 24/7. Haha. Besides, someone is encouraging me to try harder. Telling me that putting in effort is very much worth it. :D If at first you don't succeed, try and try again right?
OKAY ENOUGH GONNA TUMBLR NOW.
