Had a studio presentation today! Project 1B : Design strategy. We basically had to respond to the issues in Jalan TAR and create a design proposal to solve them. After so much struggle and so much confusion, I'm proud to say that my group presented confidently today.
Our title was : An Urban Recreational Park. Simple, yes. But we don't feel shitty at all about it haha which is usually good (even though we presented to a very outrageously theoretical man who has probably never stepped foot in a park). I have a feeling that we have redeemed ourselves from the last presentation that we botched. Lets just hope moderations went well.
Here's our hard work, compressed into 4 A2 boards.
Our precedent study was the Glass Lofts in the US. A building made for local artists to live in, display their work, do yoga and whatever it is artists like to do. Haha. Took some elements from this building and integrated it with our massing and program.
Here's my baby no. 1. You see the icons? I MADE THEM MYSELF OHOHO. *hidung kembang* I spent so much time trying to make them straight forward and simple (taking into consideration the whole Ludwig Mies Van de Rohe, "Less is More"). I would like to believe that I was successful in that sense *hidung kembang again*.
My baby no. 2. Fun icons again and a Sketchup massing that I played with for like sooo many times. I think this was our 5th model? Yeah, should be.
Even though the massing is kinda funky, I like that my group and I took this approach because well, for starters, it's a completely new way of tackling design anddd, I think we're on the right track with the way we handled the strategies and responses. The massing can be developed further in the individual projects but whart we have now, is a pretty awesome start. (Y)
The UBBL crap that the girls really cracked their heads open for. Hahaha! Can't argue with us, cause we knowz our stuffz for sure. Everything we've done is abiding to the UBBL and design codes of Malaysia sooo ... bwahaha! *Pening*

After the presentation, I went out with Jas to have dinner and watch THE AVENGERS. Bwahaha! After 3 whole years of waiting in anticipation, I finally watched the goddamn movie (though I regret not catching it when it first premiered (;¬_¬)). The movie reached my highest expectations (Thank God). WHY ARE ALL THE CHARACTERS SO BAD ASS?! I cannot express my excitement. I'm still so thrilled about it. And there's gonna be A SEQUEL. HAR HAR HAR. *Fan girl moment*
Over all, it was fucking epic. The fighting scenes were mega awesome and the testosterone level in this movie is indescribable. I was jumping off my seat at every battle scene man UMPH.
Hulk, although having changed the actor twice since the first Hulk movie, was more desirable (sorry Mr. Norton). I guess cause he was more hilarious and adorable. Hahaha!
Captain America :"Hulk, SMASH!"
Hulk : "giggles like a giant green idiot"
Is it just me (and Jas) or is Loki like 10 times better looking in the movie? The hair! THE HAIR! You copiez Thorz! You brilliant animal you. My only (slight) disappointment was not seeing Natalie Portman play a part in the movie. It would've been nice to see her be a random hero in some random scene.
Oh, before the movie, I thought Hawkeye was a stupid superhero (merely because of his purple suit, cape and pointy hawk mask in the original comics), but he was so BAD ASS in the movie. So chunnnnn!
Original Hawkeye. So yucks the costume! Haha.
I cannot take Robin Shiboski seriously. Haha! I kept thinking of her as Ted's Canadian exgirlfriend, lost in a giant hovering metal machine, with a gun that she doesn't know how to fire. So weird larh.
Other than that, the men were men. My hormones were going insane and my ovaries were exploding throughout the whole movie. Kudos to Scarlett Johansson for acting as a mega bad ass Black Widow (though I'm really not a fan of you and your constipated expressions).
I LOVED IT SO MUCH THAT I WILL DEFINITELY WATCH IT AGAIN AT THE CINEMA (MOST PROBABLY IMAX), SERIOUSLY.
And maybe get that TGV water tumbler of Thor or Iron Man or Captain America. Just get all larh.
HNGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!
I'm so motivated by this. I shall start my superhero assignment for Comics class TOMORROW! Hahaha.
I don't think I've used "bad ass" this much to describe characters. Haha.
Okayh. Initiate reduction of geek levels.

Obsessed with the Glee version of "Shake it Out" by Florence and the Machine. I don't care about whatever the fuck you say, their version is good and worth listening to for over 1000 times (not saying that the original is bad though). The meaning of the song was delivered well in this particular episode, which made the song even better. Ohoho!
Okayh KO taimmm.
P.S. A very special birthday wish to Ms. Ivy Chua! Happy belated 21st birthday! I'M SOOO SORRY I FORGOT TO WISH YOU. I SWEAR I HAVE A GOOD REASON. I'm a horrible friend, but I know you still love me. Haha. I will see you soon my love!

Update and turning geek mode back ON!
So at the end of the credits of The Avengers, they showed this very unattractive guy who I mistaken for the Door God from Thor. Jas said no, it is not the friendly Door God, it is another villain. I just read an article saying that the villain is named Thanos. Apparently, he's one of the most powerful villains in the Marvel universe. COOOOOHLLL.
"The Avengers teamed up with Spider-Man and The Thing in order to stop him. "
OMFG. Whart if, the newer Spider Man, the one with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, is another edition to THE AVENGERS. Is it possible?! OMFG. EXCITED TO THE CORE. SHITAKE MUSHROOM. NAO I'M EVEN MORE EXCITED ABOUT THE AMAZING SPIDER MAN MOVIE AHHH!
I don't expect the sequel of the Avengers to be out any time soon though. ): Boohoo. More waiting for me. But here's something to look forward to!
"There's no word yet on when we can expect "The Avengers 2," but "Iron Man 3" is slated for release less than a year from now on May 3, 2013. "Thor 2" will follow on November 15, 2013, and "Captain America 2" is scheduled for April 4, 2014."
A whole year of waiting but WHATTHEHECK. Gonna be EPIC TO DA MAX. Can't calm my titties. Oh noes!
