I miss Coke flavoured Shisha!

Finally, a little time to blorg. I'm not exactly in the mood to type out every single detail about my Raya and my trips but I'll try my best. Haha! A lot has happened for the pass 2-3 weeks. I celebrated Raya with my family in Vietnam (I'm from Vietnam. Seriously.), I went to Turkey with a few classmates in which I became good friends with and had a whole truck load of fun with, and I handed in an assignment that I was totally unsatisfied with and, based on psychology, will blame my environment (lack of time and sleep) for this low level of satisfaction, even though I know I could've done better.

So lets start with Raya! It was a pretty good Raya. Stress free. I remember Raya being a day of mood swings because my mom would scream at us for waking up late or some shit. But this year was good. I woke up late. Visited my auntie's place for like an hour than my siblings and I cabut lari because we don't like staying at her house for too long; getting stuck in between the cross fire of screaming old women and their Melayu dramas. Btw, I'm happy I got duit Raya this year from my parents and brother. And they were generous too! :D They're contributing to my piggy bank. Canon 550D, here I come!

PURPLEEEEE!

Anyway, the day after, the family and I (excluding the bitchy brother) flew off to Vietnam to visit our kampung (*shakes eyebrows*). We did many things there and visited many place. Many of our visits were like site visits for me! xD It was so fun. Haha! I forgot whart it was like to travel with the family and sometimes, it's boring (especially at night).

I'm older now so I like to go out at night and walk around. But the whole time I was there, my night time was spent in the bedroom watching Disney Channel play Pixar movies over and over again (which I enjoyed, but still!) and totally regretted not bringing my Studio work to Vietnam (Gawd). I totally forgot the restrictions that are present when travelling with the parentals. Sigh.

Taken in front of a very important government building that I care for architecturally and not in any way, politically.

Riding a horse car! The poor horse had to pull the whole lot of us AND my fat dad. Poor thing. ):

This is a palace of some sort. Apparently it has French architecture fused into the concept of it all. Me no likey.

After Vietnam, I had 2 days to do as much as I can for studio - I ended up doing drafts for my model. I still got bombed during my final presentation. PFFT SUCKS.

OFF TO TURKEY WITH THE GROUP!

So Turkey was a whole different experience. I got to try lamb and beef which were ridiculously DELICIOUS, eat as much chocolate and Turkish ice cream as I could get my hands on, visit places that I wouldn't imagine were created; let alone existed, awe at the BEAUTIFUL TURKISH SKY, make good friends with class mates I didn't know I would get along with, and fall in love with shisha (only in Turkey! Malaysian shisha sucks balls). The trip was AMAZE-BALLS!

Photo spammage time!

This was us, imitating the mannequin-like soldier who stood as still as possible even whilst we were practically mocking him.

Photobucket
The Dead Sea Salt Lake! It was an empty space with tonnes of salt on the ground. Just plain salt. It was pretty amazing to see that much salt spread across a field that was once a lake that was 3rd(?) largest in Turkey.

Photobucket
Cappadocia! A place of underground cities and open air museums! Who knew such cultures existed. So out-of-this-world man.

Photobucket
Pamukkale! The water-filled, icy-looking craters and rocks are actually made of calcium carbonate. It was a reaction between the water and minerals produced by the land in this area. Apparently, the water is good for improving joints and etc. SO COOHL.

Photobucket
Need I say more? I LOVE THE SKY!

Photobucket
At the ancient Greek ruins! Above us, the ceiling of the entrance of an ancient library. All, hand-carved. Say WHART?!

Photobucket
Ah. The beach. In Turkey, their beaches were more for fishing, lying down on outdoor benches and deep (not really) sea swimming! The sand wasn't soft enough to lie down on but the sea and the sky will forever be beautiful.

Photobucket
This was us, fighting the strong punches of the wind! It was the first time I ever experienced such strong winds! Freakin' scary but freakin' AMAZING. The view was spectacular too.

Photobucket
Site-seeing at Istanbul. Cold, tiring, but 'twas fun while it lasted. Especially our midnight shisha getaways. Sigh.

After Turkey, a whole shitload of assignments came crashing down onto my whole body. Flattening Eliminating and crushing every spec of gleeful moods that involved the holidays. I finished my studio assignment 2 already. Now, onto AutoCad and BC report. Sigh. But for tonight, I'm taking a break (even though my heart is itching to finish my work and I know that that I'll be regretting this tomorrow).

Ta.
