Firstly, we went to Gua Tempurung to begin our analysis. I never knew I would be such a fan of caves until I actually explored them! My first real visit to a cave was in Kuching, the Fairy cave, and I thought that that would be my only encounter with caves and that I wouldn't be fascinated by others but, this was my second real visit and ... :DD. It made me realize how interested I was in these rock formations and how random and fluid the formations are! The best thing about it is that it takes like 200,000 years to grow like an inch of rock (or something like that. Debs told me but I don't remember cause then Danial started arguing that it took less years, methinks haha)! So Gua Tempurung is like millions of years old and I got to study it, touch it, and bask in it's glory!

Phwoarrr so beautiful. (:

Shadows! Yvonne kept saying that the rocks look like ice cream being scooped out. AND IT'S TRUE. xD

The rocks formed a heart! (: I took this photo for my hubbyh. ♥
We then left for Taiping! Once we arrive at our humble abode, we were shocked to see that we were staying in a pretty stylish hotel! We were sure that we'd have to stay in a dorm or disgusting apartment or even tents, but our lecturers shocked us with their choice of accommodation. It was comfy! :D

Tadaa! Our shelter for the night!
After scrubbing ourselves clean, we prepared ourselves to get sticky again! We left for the Night Safari at the Taiping Zoo. :D But that was after chowing down on delicious Chicken Hor Fun (that was only RM2.50 HOMG) and some delicious roasted chicken wings and drumsticks (RM2 per pair!). YUMMYH!
So anyway, we then went to the zoo! Honestly, I wasn't impressed. Mr. Keith said that this zoo would be as good or some would say, even better than the Singapore zoo, but I'm sorry, I politely disagree. Haha. As much as I don't like Singapore, it's tourist attractions could beat Malaysia's any day, and that would include the zoo! We were suppose to analyze and observe the environment so that we could choose a spot to design a structure for zoologist and animals. But at night, the zoo was just plain dark. Light were barely used to illuminate anything but the umbrella shaped pondok at the centre of the place. It wasn't as clean as it could be and the animals look utterly depressed (especially the camels! They looks possessed!).
But at least it made my job easier. Our first task is to design an abstract piece of art to contrast Gua Tempurung and the zoo! Yvonne and I found so many things to compare. Gotta get started REAL SOON.

Check out the pimped out Kancil! Hello Kitty fever much?!

Yay!

My favourite shot for that night. :D
The next morning, we went to the zoo again to see the environment in daylight! Our source of transport = feet. We took a stroll around the Lake Garden, hugged and climbed trees and took like a bajillion photos. Teehee.

Yay for trees!

Since we don't have eyes like owls, a second visit to the zoo was necessary for our documenting. It made things worse for me that I could see how horribly maintained the zoo was, and in broad daylight. The grass had weed growing every where, there were rat cages exposed, the ponds in the animal compounds were covered in algae ... I don't know whart to say. Malaysians ~

Time to shower and start on some research! xD Class tomorrow, boo. ):
