Simba : "Thursday".
Me : "Oh ... THURSDAY?!"
And that's when the swear words begin to shoot out of my already gigantic mouth. I swear a lot nowadays. Be it in English, Mandarin, BM, French or Japanese, I swear ... with "colours". This is my first time experiencing real stress. More to come soon I suppose! 8D OH yes, today is Thursday. And just 4 days ago, I was happy to start the week off with a perfectly organized schedule that since yesterday, burnt in the firey pits of Architorture hell.
Yeah, to those of you (mostly Qissu) who don't know why I was randomly depressed yesterday, it was mainly because of assignments. Yes yes, a little too melodramatic, but you would've held back whale-sized tears too if you were in my shoes. It's only the 4th week of college and I'm already mentally and quite frankly, physically drained from all the sleepless nights and cramping of the fingers.
Let the explanation commence! So, we (the class) were given an assignment by the magic 8ball (a nickname Jun You gave our educator LOLz) and the Italiano, which was to re-draw a photo of a very complicated stair case with only 4 different types of tonal values, and with the deadline, Friday 26th. With whatever they explained to us, I began my work. They said to re-draw the photo on A5 paper, with only one type of felt tip pen, either with a 0.1 - 0.6 diameter, free-hand; no ruler. So, that's whart I did.
From the post before this one, you could see how pain-staking the drawing was. I had already drawn 2 with techniques known as Scribble and Cross-Hatching. It took be about 8 hours altogether to finish it. So yesterday, when we were in class, many of us were in shock when the magic 8ball told us that;-
1) We could trace it.
2) Drawing should be A6 in size but located in the centre of an A5 paper (the extra space as the border)
3) NO OUTLINES!
So I decided, with other friends who were as furious as I was, to stay overnight at the studio to re-draw everything. Thank goodness there were people around me of whom I could relate to! We all suffered TOGETHER. >:] We began work at 730pm and ended at 1130am. 16 hours man! Some pulled an all-nighter, some slept. As for me, I slept on and off in between 4am til 630am. LOL! I saw the sun rise! But after it rose, I slept again for a good half an hour. Hahaha! I'm tired as hell now. LOL. But I still have the energy to blorg. :D A few of my friends are still at the studio doing work. Sigh. I'M ROUTING FOR YOU GUYS!
IN SPIRIT! Lololol. [:

The end results! 2 rejected drawings, 2 unsatisfactory ones, 2 decent ones, a busted up thumb, a numb middle finger, a sore elbow, a cramping back, and the biggest Panda eyes I've ever had in my life.
Architorture is bittersweet.
It's 1pm on a Thursday, AND I AM OFF TO SLEEP. ZZZ.
